The Priory Inn is Arkell's first pub in the historic Cotswold town of Tetbury.

In 2018 it underwent a full refurbishment of its exterior, bar and dining area, and its 14 hotel rooms.

    - 14 accommodation rooms incl. 4 disabled rooms
    - great pub food & Sunday lunch
    - real fire
    - ideal for families

Currently run by local catering experts Relish, their is much pride that 80% of all ingredients used on the menu are sourced nearby from suppliers in Gloucestershire and within 30 miles.

Relish directors Rob Goves and Philippa Sawyer have been hands on when creating a menu to match the venue too.

Wood fired pizzas with a signature Shipton Mill base are the focus, with locally sourced toppings including Kelmscott Pork Chorizo, Fresh Tomato Salsa, Chilli and Garden Herbs. Or the traditional four cheese that includes a Brinkworth Blue and a Double Gloucester from Liz & Brian at Godsells Cheese.

Others include Wiltshire Ham Hock and Evesham Spinach making 2-4-1 pizza nights on Tuesdays a difficult evening to miss.

"Being a Licensee is a fine and rewarding job", says Chris, and it helps that the Arkell’s directors are approachable. "We had a lot of help and they provide us with regular information, but ultimately it's up to us."

Chris Manners is the Licensee of three Arkell’s pubs. The Rusty Bicycle, The Rickety Press and The Bottle of Sauce
